Previous Guests of TD1 Radio, The Borders Barmy Army have been fundraising in the Borders General Hospital today, to raise money for the Hospital.

The team which included, TD1 Radio’s Richard Minnikin, today took turns on a treadmill from 8am and 5pm. Last year, they abseiled down the front of the hospital to raise cash.

The group, which was set up four years ago, has raised over £50,000 for various local and national charities. In 2012 they did the three peaks challenge over Ben Nevis  This year, along with today’s fundraising they plan to do the 4th Sponsored Pantomime Horse Race at Kelso Races, The Captain’s Sky Dive Challenge, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, running the Edinburgh Marathon plus more.
