A large flat-bed trailer was stolen from a house at Kaimflat, Kelso between 0930 and 1430 yesterday. Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity at this location between the times above.

A 53 year old woman from Galashiels was arrested for Theft Shoplifting from a supermarket in the town yesterday. She was later released and will be reported to the PF.

Two men aged 24 and 18, were assaulted and robbed and seriously assaulted respectively in two separate incidents in the west end of Hawick last night. Police are following a positive line of enquiry into the incidents.

A 27 year old man from Galashiels was arrested at Borders General Hospital in the early hours of this morning after causing a disturbance at the hospital. He was charged with an offence under the Emergency Workers Act and released to appear at Court at a later date.
