Volunteer

TD1 Radio is a non-profit making organisation meaning that all our presenters and staff are volunteers. We already have a dedicated team of people who give up their time on a weekly basis (sometimes more often) to ensure the smooth running of the station. As a result of our Ofcom FM licence award, we have opportunities for 10 new presenters to be part of an exciting new era in TD1 Radio.

The days and times we are looking to fill are as follows:

Monday to Saturday

06:00 – 09:00
09:00 – 12:00
12:00 – 15:00
15:00 – 18:00

and on Sundays

06:00 – 08:00
09:00 – 11:00

You will be required to produce and present your own programme; initial and on-going training and development will be provided. We are also looking for volunteers to work behind the scenes (off air) for general admin tasks, including answering phones and assisting the on air team before, during and after the programme ends. Tasks could also include lining up guests, either via telephone or meeting and greeting guests who are visiting the studio in person to take part in interviews.

Production/Prep Non-On Air Opportunities

We also need people to work behind the scenes doing audio editing and preparing reports for broadcast, loading audio clips onto computer for playback and desk o/p for outside broadcasts etc. This will involve work at weekends (Sunday afternoons).
