TD1 Radio is a non-profit making organisation meaning that all our presenters and staff are volunteers. We already have a dedicated team of people who give up their time on a weekly basis (sometimes more often) to ensure the smooth running of the station.
We’re launching on the FM waveband on 30th March which means that as well as being able to listen to us online, you’ll be able to receive us on any normal FM radio alongside other commercial and BBC radio services (eg Radio 1, 2 etc). In order for us to provide a full community radio service we’re looking to recruit more volunteers to present/produce programmes at various times of the day. Full training will be given, but if you’ve had experience of working in radio before, that would be beneficial.
We’ve got presentation opportunities available at various times during the day and in the evening.
We’re also looking for news gatherers/news readers to deliver our local news bulletins on air at various times during the day, at weekends and early evenings.

We’ve also got various ‘behind the scenes’ roles including technical operation. This will consist of working equipment for other non-technically minded presenters, recording and monitoring broadcast output from (for example) an Outside Broadcast. Full training will be given. Hours of work will vary, however some weekday/weekend work will be inevitable and we require you to be flexible to meet the needs of the station.
This position could ideally be shared between several people on a rota basis. For more details, please download an application form below.
